BCRHOF Call For Restaurant Nominations
Deadline for nominations: December 1, 2016
The BC Restaurant & Foodservices Association (BCRFA) will recognize restaurants in four categories that have made an outstanding contribution to the BC Restaurant industry in 2016. The new restaurant categories are:
- Socially Responsible Restaurant Award — This award will recognize two restaurants, one multi-unit and one independent, who has made a commitment to balancing their profit with creating benefit to society through their work. Restaurants should be nominated for their contribution to the environment, commitment to local sustainability, their exemplary work with people (employees, suppliers, guests and general public) and/or charitable work in their community.
- Most Creative — Restaurants that are nominated for this award should be renowned for thinking and behaving “outside the box”. There creative flair will be reflected in the food, restaurant design, promotions, hiring practices and charitable involvement, etc.
- Best New Restaurant in BC — Has a new restaurant impressed you so much with their menu, service and design that you keep coming back for more and recommending it to anyone who will listen? Any restaurant that has opened in the 12 months ending August 31, 2016 is eligible.
- Best BC Restaurant — Some restaurants stand out for their consistency of service, deliciousness of menu and the overall calibre of the restaurant experience they provide every time you dine there. The Best Restaurant awards recognize one multi-unit and one independent restaurant that offered the best overall experience this year including food, customer care, service and atmosphere.

Award criteria
All nominated restaurants must have attained a consistently high standard and brought honour to British Columbia’s hospitality industry through their dedication excellence and contribution to a strong restaurant industry in BC.
