Celestino Posteraro

Celestino, before he moved to Canada (Toronto) to start his career in the hospitality business, worked at Ristorante da Mariano in Santa Maria del Giudice, near Lucca in Tuscany. In Toronto he worked hard at Il Gambero Rosso, on Eglinton Avenue, where everyone really liked his style, charm, and high sense of hospitality. Therefore it was organic and natural to start his own restaurant venture in Markham (Ontario), called Town Hall restaurant. His name and reputation drew attention from the media, and amazing follow up from patrons that followed him in a heartbeat in the next restaurant venture called Celestino’s (after his name) on Eglinton Avenue .

For over 15 years, the restaurant became the place to be, from Hollywood celebrities, to local patrons and Canadian authorities such as prime ministers, governors, etc.

He became a consultant with Farfalle restaurant on Niagara on the lake and a consultant for North America Casino group, Caesar Palace, Trump group and catering his services to celebrities, in particular, Frank Sinatra. In February 1992, he catered the Golf Celebrities tournament in the Palm Springs residence of Old Blue Eyes. Favoloso on Avenue road took shape and became another successful project of Celestino Posteraro. In 1996 he joined his brother in Vancouver and in 1999 they opened Cioppino’s restaurant. Celestino is a proud father to Raffaele, Cristiano and Paola, and is a loving grandfather to Emanuela and Celestino Jr.
